Each year, Design at UCI hosts a hybrid collegiate design competition where we invite top industry experts from companies like Uber, the LEGO Group, and Indeed to judge design projects created in the span of 3 days. As the largest collegiate design competition in Orange County, we are bringing hundreds of designers nationwide to design, develop, and pitch a product built from scratch. All participants will be judged not only on visual design and aesthetics, but the ability to think and reason assymmetrically to build innovative solutions addressing high-impact problems.
We are open to all beginners interested in design with workshops, mentorship from industry designers, and other networking opportunities to rapidly grow your design craft. Not only can you build a compelling case study, but participants also have a chance to win prizes like airpods, mechanical keyboard, and Figma merch! Come join us May 17-19, 2024 online or in-person to meet cool people, build amazing projects, and create memories with friends!
